Sultan Restaurant

94-95 Far Gosford St, Coventry CV1 5EA, UK – 024 7655 5353

The spicy rice was stunning and the lamb was cooked to perfection, well seasoned, succulent and mouthwatering. Their salad was also refreshing and delicious. Excellent atmosphere I loved it. Compliments to the chef

This restaurant exceeded my expectations. In my opinion the best Turkish restaurant in Coventry, with a good variety of choices. They provide complimentary bread, salad and various sauces all for affordable prices. Would highly recommend the lamb, I will definitely be returning to this place!

Pasha Turkish Grill restaurant Coventry

136 Far Gosford St, Coventry CV1 5DY, UK – 024 7655 9200

Be aware, that this restaurant does not serve your standard, late-night kebab, but rather a higher end, traditional Turkish product. I ordered the Lamb Donner Kebab in a wrap with salad, and it was delicious. Real, unprocessed chunks of grilled lamb, garnished with a rich, crisp and refreshing salad. The chilli sauce was home made and delicious. At the restaurant, there are also chairs and tables for eat in, though I did take out. My only complaint is that my side of chips was a very small portion for the price. If I was to visit Pasha again, I would prefer to eat in.

No doubt the best kebab place in Coventry. Always busy since it's a small place. The staff are really friendly and will give you extra condiments and salad/sauce without additional charge.

Masala Jack's

170 Holbrook La, Coventry CV6 4BY, UK – 024 7666 2777

Just loved this place from when you walk in the door to leaving hospitality is spot on. Coming from canada to my home town all my son ate was Indian food. We were at Masala Jacks & the service was excellent as well as the food fresh & delicious. If my son wasn't there he ordered in he says it was piping hot. I'm sure he's missing his Indian food now as he says there's no other place than Masala Jacks. Keep up the Great food & service we will be back.😊😊😊😊

Do I like this place? NO - Do I love it? YES!!! Great desi spot. Food is banging. Mixed grill is superb. The Curry's by weight is a great concept. Parking is a bit of a pain though.

Frankie & Benny's

Cross Point Business Park, Gielgud Way, Coventry CV2 2SZ, UK – 024 7660 4900

On a spur of the moment we went out for dinner here last night, to celebrate our wedding anniversary, after being disappointed with the food here a while ago, we didn't really plan on going back , but decided to give it another go! We were so glad we did! What a difference with before! The menu has been revamped, there are new and definitely superior chefs, and the general serving staff was absolutely lovely! Food wise , I can highly recommend the cajun chicken skewers or the pork ribs, they are to die for! Our waiter of the evening, named Jack, was super friendly, helpful and definitely made us feel welcome ! He even arranged a lovely dessert, on the house , as a nice closure of a great evening! If you are looking for delicious food in a relaxed environment definitely give this place a go ! You won't regret it, we sure did not! 👍👍

Great food and staff. I needed to take out because my baby slept in the car and they did put through my order as a take away. No problem at all

PGR Restaurant

4, Priory Place, Hales St, Coventry CV1 5SQ, UK – 024 7655 4465

Great tasting food. A little bit tucked out the way but worth the travel. Prices were reasonable and the atmosphere made me feel like I was on holiday in some sunny coastal town in Europe.

Nice food, generous portions and friendly staff. A good alternative to Nandos if you're looking for something a bit more unique.

Pizza Express

10 Hay Ln, Coventry CV1 5RF, UK – 024 7663 3156

A charming resteraunt with a wide selection of starters (my favourite are the dough balls), mains and desserts. When I went they catered extremely well for many different dietary requirements ( my friend was gluten-free and loved it). Also they have great seasonal and special dishes which are always fun and exciting to try. Amazing service overall and a lovely place to sit and eat a meal surrounded by an aesthetically appealing and well decorated room.

Very cute little restaurant down a gorgeous lane! Lovely staff and very enjoyable food! Price is reasonable as normal with pizza express. It's also close to the cathedral ruins and Coventry University, if you wish to do a little sightseeing.

Passion for Cocktails

Omg a hidden wonder. Their personal touches were wonderful.

Slug & Lettuce

The Old County Hall, Bayley Ln, Coventry CV1 5RN, UK – 024 7622 2727

My first visit since the re franchising. Pleased to see the interior has maintained its court house heritage. Staff very pleasant. If you are a wheelchair user don't be put off by the entrance steps, there is easy access through the patio area. Only stayed for a drink as had already booked a table elsewhere. But the food looked very nice from what I could see. However I would have liked a cocktail but found them rather expensive. If you are able to take advantage of the 2for1 offer it's fine. But if not it's very expensive for what looked like a large glass of ice and not too much drink.

Just popped in today for a coffee. I was very impressed the building is an old courthouse wit wood panels round the walls and a balcony above the court crest/ coat of arms is still in place. The bar was clean and tidy and the seating was comfortable. The bar staff were friendly and helpful. And the Cappuccino tasted great. I was driving so could not sample the beer on offer so cannot comment on that. Maybe next time.

Drapers Bar & Kitchen

Earl St, Coventry CV1 5RU, UK – 024 7622 1100

This was my first time here. There was a really good friendly atmosphere here even from bar staff. The food I ordered was great and cheap can't complain. Good food good atmosphere and a genuinely nice place to spend time with friends

I have always enjoyed this place. Friendly staff, a great range of drinks and food menu. A busy but chilled atmosphere, with local artists exhibiting their work or live music at the weekends. Near a historical part of Coventry City centre, so some of the night lighting can be amazing. A place to enjoy a relaxing afternoon or social night out

Coventry Chinese Restaurants

Oriental Palace

Oriental Palace, 27 London Rd, Coventry CV1 2JP, UK – 024 7655 1533

We visited Oriental Palace as we wanted to go somewhere 'fancier' to celebrate a special occasion, and it certainly lived up to expectations :) Price: £16.95 for all you can eat! Pros: - Food was very good and you can't go wrong with portions because if you want more...you can order the same thing again! - Very nice people! The man and lady who were looking after our table were absolutely lovely, very friendly and shared a few laughs. - It was a hot day, without even asking they got a fan just for our table which was a very nice gesture. - FREE PRAWN CRACKERS! Cons: - A slight language barrier, however it wasn't a big issue as we could still communicate well enough. - Cash only, and the cash machine they had inside was broken. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and we would definitely go back again. At the moment, our favourite Chinese restaurant in Coventry!

Great fresh food, all you can eat. Attentive staff. Little bit quiet when we went on a tuesday night, virtually had the place to ourselves for a nice romantic meal for 2. Very busy on weekends though. Only downside....very limited sweets menu.

Golden Parlour

75-76 Far Gosford St, Coventry CV1 5DZ, UK – 024 7663 2220

Very delicious food and friendly staff.

Authentic food!

Jimbo Chinese Express

27 Earl St, Coventry CV1 5RU, UK – 024 7663 0888

Good food and at cheap price. The staff are lovely and the store is always clean. I will definitely recommend this store to everyone.

Nice prices, nice food. I always go for the boxes but they have a lot of stuff in the menu.

Coventry Vegetarian or Vegan Restaurants

Pizza Hut Restaurants

Coventry Arena Retail Park, Classic Dr, Coventry CV6 6AS, UK – 024 7666 9960

Went for buffet. Food all hot , plenty of fresh salad. Loads of seating. Only thing was the ice machine not working , but was told it's getting fixed. Friendly service. Great food.

Quality pizza, fast service and friendly staff. Higher quality table cleaning would be highly needed.

Pizza Hut Restaurants

Cross Point Retail Park Ansty, Coventry CV2 2SZ, UK – 024 7660 3040

My partner and I visited this pizza hut for a vegan pizza but unfortunately the vegan cheese was out of stock. The manager was incredibly helpful. He spent extra time and effort to provide us with as many vegan alternatives as they had. The customer service was excellent and as a result of the manager and his staff we had the most enjoyable time. We couldn't recommend them enough.

We visited Pizza hut for my sons birthday, it was a nice atmosphere, our waiter was great, nothing was too much trouble and the food was lovely from the starters to the mains. The only thing I would say is that the salad bar could do with being checked more often to ensure it's not all inter mixed.

SHIN Japanese Bar & Kitchen

2, Priory Place, Fairfax St, Coventry CV1 5SQ, UK – 024 7655 1377

Great Ramen at a relatively cheap price. Can add more noodles to the soup(?) for £2 which is great for big eaters. Good for groups, can book groups of up to 30 with enough warning. Using cash nets a discount of 10%.

The food is amazing, the staff really friendly, the portions are huge and they do great cocktails. Cannot fault them. Definitely recommend them.

The Phoenix

122 Gosford St, Coventry CV1 5DL, UK – 024 7652 0387

Been going here for years even before the refurb. Many good memories here, great door staff keep a good crowd inside rarely any trouble. Plenty of options when it comes to drinks, Food is good and they always have offers on drinks and food. If you like sports they usually have all the top events on as well as games and tables inside to play on yourself. Cheap cheerful and a good atmosphere. Only thing that lets this place down is some of the bar staff can and have been very rude.

Great vibe to the place and awesome to had a social get together there. However drinks are extremely overpriced and very poor quality. Even had alcohol poisoning on one evening where the lines must have been so dirty or still had chemicals left in.

The Bulls Head

Binley Rd, Coventry CV3 1HB, UK – 024 7645 4883

Nice pub, they have great food variety and desert. The variety of beer is not great but ok. I recommend their speciality which is the classic mixed grill. For the price you pay you'll get more than expected and the service is awesome! The place is huge, upstairs you have quiet restaurant. And they have a pool table as well!!! Nice place

We came on the 30.5.18 the food and drink where great! Good value for money and a really good atmosphere. Will definitely be back again!
